A farewell to someone you love deserves music chosen with care. At a funeral or memorial service, music can offer comfort, hold memories and leave room for silence. SwissDuo performs live piano and cello music shaped around the family’s wishes and the flow of the ceremony.
1. A repertoire for a personal tribute
Our repertoire ranges from Baroque and Romantic music to contemporary works, film melodies and songs that matter to the family. We also perform original compositions. Together we choose pieces that honor the person being remembered and suit the atmosphere of the service.
2. Arrangements made for your ceremony
A favorite song can take on a new meaning when played on piano and cello. On request, we prepare an arrangement for a particular moment in the ceremony. We discuss the music, venue and timing with you in advance.
3. The expressive sound of piano and cello
The piano provides a harmonic foundation, while the cello can carry a warm melody close to the human voice. Together they create a quiet, personal presence in a church or ceremony room.
For a funeral, memorial service or another farewell ceremony in Switzerland, we can help select the music and plan the transitions. Contact SwissDuo to tell us about the service and your family’s wishes.
